Now that I have a bonafide office for Au Courant that can actually accomodate proper, non-Ikea furniture, I've been on the hunt for the perfect studio sofa-cum-day bed to round out the feel of space.
The one that initially caught my eye - that divinely minimal, wooden-framed Hans Wegner piece - is unfortunately sold out. Not that I could readily cough up the $1800.00 sticker price, but still. To dream...
The Wegner belonged to a group of equally divine sofas on offer from the Brooklyn store, Sit and Read. A hub that seems to sell all of its cool pieces in the blink of an eye; the buttery brown number and the Chesterfield blue couch have been snapped up, as well.
Nonetheless, Sit & Read is still worth a look-see if you're in the Driggs Avenue area. A quick browse of the available pieces on their website revealed a pair of lovely rug chairs, vintage fans, a set of Toledo chairs and that red showstopper of a leather sofa.
Which could easily be yours. If you're ready to part with $4,500.00, that is...
